Original Bad Company ReunionAug 2008 - Bad Company, featuring Paul Rodgers, Mick Ralphs, and Simon Kirke, will reunite for a one-off gig on August 8, 2008 at the Seminole Hard Rock and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. It will be the group's first performance since their 1999 reunion tour. Paul Rodgers: 'By doing this one-night stand with Bad Company, we will be cementing our right to the trademark Bad Company for touring, and anyone who attempts to challenge us and tour mis-using our trademark and mislead the fans will be liable to legal action.' Mick Ralphs' Bad Company 2008The UK version of Bad Company, Mick Ralphs' Bad Company 2008, played handful of shows in early 2008 including: 22 Feb at The Brook in Southampton, 9 Mar at Kingston-upon-Thames, 27 Mar at the Garage in Glasgow, 11 May at Leeds. X-COM DatesNov 2007 - X-COM will play two dates in December 2007: 14 Dec 14 2007 at The Diamond in Mansfield UK, and 21 Dec 2007 at the Corn Exchange in Exeter UK. The band features Mick Ralphs, Dave ’Bucket’ Colwell, Robert Hart and Jaz Lochrie with special guest drummer Harry James from Thunder. X-COMAug 2007 - On 25 August 2007, The Diamond in Mansfield UK hosted X-COM, featuring Mick Ralphs, Dave 'Bucket' Colwell, Robert Hart, and Jaz Lochrie. The show was billed as An Evening of Original Bad Company Music from X COM, plus special guest Mr. Harry James (drummer from Thunder). Click Here to check it out! Boz BurrellNov 2006 - We are sad to report that Bad Company bass player Boz Burrell died on 21 Sep 2006 at his home in Spain. Boz was born in Holbeach, England in 1946, and worked with Tea Time Four, The Boz People, The Sidewinders, and Feel For Soul before joining King Crimson in 1970 and then becoming a founding member of Bad Company in 1974. New Mott The Hoople 3 CD CompilationNov 2006 - Sony UK is issuing a new Mott The Hoople/Ian Hunter compilation on 13 Nov 2006 called The Journey. This 3 CD digipack release contains 54 tracks spanning the entire career of both Mott The Hoople and Ian Hunter. Bad Company Live CD WithdrawnAug 2006 - The Live In Albuquerque 1976 from Angel Air has been withdrawn due to licensing issues. No word if or when it might be put back on sale. New Mott The Hoople Live CDMay 2006 - A new live Mott The Hoople CD is due from Angel Air in July 2006. Live Fillmore West, San Francisco (UK Angel Air SJPCD 226), combines 1970 and 1971 recordings at the legendary venue with a previously unreleased studio track, Wreck of the Liberty Belle. New Bad Company 1976 Live CDApr 2006 - A new live Bad Company CD is due from Angel Air in June 2006. Live In Albuquerque 1976 (UK Angel Air SJPCD 221), as the name suggests, is a two-disc set recorded during the band's 1976 Burnin’ Through America tour. This is the first-ever live Bad Company album to capture the group at the peak of their powers in the Seventies. Tracks include Live For The Music, Good Lovin Gone Bad, Deal With The Preacher, Ready For Love, Wild Fire Woman, Young Blood, Sweet Little Sister, Simple Man, Shooting Star, Seagull, Run With The Pack, Feel Like Making Love, Rock Steady, Honey Child, Can’t Get Enough, and Bad Company. Mott The Hoople ReissuesFeb 2006 - Sony Legacy in the USA have issued remastered versions of All The Young Dudes and Mott, with several bonus tracks on each. All The Young Dudes features liner notes by Ben Edmonds and seven bonus tracks: One of the Boys (demo), Black Scorpio (demo), Ride On The Sun (demo), One of the Boys (UK single version), All The Young Dudes (Bowie vocal), Sucker (live from Hammersmith Dec '73), and Sweet Jane (live from Hammersmith Dec '73). Mott features liner notes by Keith Smith and four bonus tracks: Rose (B side), Honaloochie Boogie (demo), Nightmare (demo), and Drivin' Sister (live from Hammersmith Dec '73). Ian Hunter live DVD and CDApr 2005 - A new Ian Hunter live DVD, Just Another Night, has been issued in the UK by Secret Records. The show was recorded live at the Astoria in London in 2004 with Mick Ralphs on guitar, and features a guest appearance by Brian May of Queen. See the Secret Records website for a preview clip. Jul 2005 - The soundtrack to the live DVD has also been issued as a 2 CD set by Secret Records, under the title The Truth, The Whole Truth, and Nothin' But The Truth. Other Recent NewsMay 2005 - Mick Ralphs made a guest appearance with Ian Hunter at The Astoria In London on 27 May 2005, appearing with the American version of The Rant Band (Mark Bosch - guitar; James mastro - guitar; Graham Maby - bass; Andy Burton - keyboards; Steve Holley - drums). Some picture are posted in the Photo Gallery. May 2005 - Wounded Bird Records (USA) have just reissued the first three Mott The Hoople albums ('Mott The Hoople', 'Mad Shadows', and 'Wildlife') on CD. The disc are remastered but do not incude any bonus tracks. (Wounded Bird specializes in exact reissues of albums from the 60s, 70s and 80s.) Jun 2004 - Mick Ralphs completed tour with Ian Hunter and his Rant Band, playing a month of gigs in the UK and Europe from May-June 2004. The Rant Band included Andy York (John Mellencamp), Gus Goad (The Look), Ian Gibbons (The Kinks), and Steve Holley (Wings, Elton John, Joe Cocker). Once again the tour manager was The Sinatra of Beat himself, Hereford United supporter and Stormraisers vocalist Stan Tippins. May 2004 - Angel Air's live CD/DVD release from the 2002 Ian Hunter Taking the Mick tour, documenting the first Ian Hunter and Mick Ralphs collaboration in almost 20 years, has unfortunately been canceled due to technical problems with the recording. However, a DVD from the 2004 tour is imminent. Jan 2003 - Mick Ralphs' third solo album, That's Life (UK Angel Air SJPCD136), was released on 13 January 2003. The album includes eleven tracks written and sung by Mick, plus two unreleased bonus tracks from the Seventies. See the Mick Ralphs Discography page for more information. Sep 2002 - Mick Ralphs made a couple guest appearances at shows in the UK in September. On 20 September, he appeared onstage with Bad Company at the Hammersmith Apollo. The next night, he guested with Mike Hurst in Henley-on-Thames UK. May 2002 - Mick Ralphs was reunited with Ian Hunter for the first time in almost 20 years when he joined Ian's 2002 UK tour. Ian and Mick played 15 gigs over a 16 day span on the Taking The Mick Tour, from May 7 to May 22. Another old Mott cohort, Stan Tippins, acted as tour manager. Oct 2001 - Mick Ralphs' second solo album is entitled It's All Good (UK Angel Air SJPCD052), and includes eleven new studio instrumental tracks. The disc also includes the bonus track Hideaway, recorded on a recent Bad Company tour. Mick plays all the instruments on the studio tracks.
